Richard H Nicol

May 14, 1942 - August 7, 2025

Richard (Dick) H. Nicol was born May 14, 1942 in Sterling, Illinois to William Connell (Connie) Nicol and Esther (Hagerman) Nicol.   He graduated from Atkinson High School and attended Western University, Dick served 10 years in the Illinois National Guard and was commissioned a First Lieutenant.   He spent the majority of his life as a salesman. He was liked by everyone and was known for his helpfulness, friendliness and sense of humor.   During his life Dick enjoyed many hobbies including downhill skiing, scuba diving and traveling.   Dick loved all animals. He and Marilyn helped their daughter Tracy with wildlife rehabilitation. He loved our kitties and made friends with a little squirrel  he named Emmy Lou.   He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his daughter Tracy, his sister Karen, his brother Matt, his niece Jessica White (Chris),, his nephew Joe (Dawn} and his grand niece Lavinia (Livy).   A private memorial will be held later, In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741.Guest BookShareEmailPrint
