Ronald Rawson

Obituary Ronald Lee Rawson, age 65, of Geneva, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 with his loving sister by his side. He was born January 27, 1957, in Geneva, the son of Ralph Fredrick and Delores Marie (Armbrust) Rawson. He was proceeded in death by his father Ralph Fredrick Rawson and sister Gail Marie (Rawson) Hendrickson. He is survived by his mother Delores Marie (Armbrust) Rawson, a brother Brian Lee (Deborah) Rawson, and a sister Jayne Marie (David) Welch. Ron lived most of his life the way he wanted, he did it his way, Rockin’ n’ Rollin’. He truly loved the city he was born, grew up in, and spent a lot of his time researching. For a time, he was The Archivist at The Geneva History Museum where he had the pleasure of teaching others the stories that he researched. His families history was something he took much enjoyment in learning about. A good rock concert was probably the only thing he loved more. If you ran into Ron on a good day you would with no doubt hear a funny story, a joke, a little family history, and of course some good tunes. He loved photography just like his dad, and was always willing to show you every picture he had ever taken. A lot of those photographs were taken on his travels around the States and Europe or simply the wildlife in his backyard. In the later years of his life he spent giving care to his mother, yet he always managed to find time to play his guitar, paint the house, and give you a solid hour on the telephone. Ron was a special soul indeed. He would want to leave you all with simply some “Peace, Love, and Understanding.” A visitation for Ronald will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva proceeding to Oak Hill Cemetery in Geneva for a graveside service at 1:30 pm.
