Sarah Katherine Schuler

Sarah Katherine Schuler (Mack), 72, of Batavia, IL. passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family in Batavia, IL.  Sarah was born on January 16, 1948 in Aurora, IL., the daughter of James and Vera (Klein) Mack.  She was united in marriage to John W. “Jack” Schuler on August 30, 1980 in Batavia, IL.

She graduated from Madonna high school and Southern Illinois University. She married Jack Schuler in 1980.  Sarah and Jack moved to Scotland for 12 years, started a family and returned to their hometown of Batavia in 1992.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband; Jack Schuler, her son; Michael (Lori) Schuler, her daughter; Alison (James) Kennedy, her grandchildren; Ella and Clark Kennedy, her sisters; Marion Smith and Phillis Utley, and her brother Dan Mack.

Preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Marcia Platten. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 60510. Funeral mass and interment will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sarah’s name may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions of occupancy, the visitation will be limited. All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering.  Be prepared to wait outside if occupancy becomes an issue. Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one so that all who would like to attend will have a chance to do so.
