Selma "Sandy" (Noetzelman) Forni

Selma "Sandy" Forni Obituary Selma “Sandy” Forni, age 99, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Home Care Advantage, a private assisted care residence in Batavia. She was born Selma Alma Noetzelman on March 8, 1927 in Parkers Prairie, MN, the daughter of dairy farmers John and Alma (Riedel) Noetzelman. After high school, she moved to Chicago, worked at the Continental bank and met her lifelong “Sis” Mary (Tinnes) Warrick.  While commuting on the train with Mary, she met her true love, Louis Forni. They married on May 15, 1948 at St. Peters Church in Geneva and raised two sons. Selma enjoyed being a homemaker and supporting her kids’ many activities. Once the boys started school, she worked many years as a bookkeeper at Dunbar Kapple in Batavia and later at Wallace Computer in St. Charles. Selma loved bowling, play Hearts with friends, dancing German polkas and celebrating holidays with her family. Selma was a wonderful, kind and loving woman and will be dearly missed. She is survived by two sons Dr. Phillip Forni of Roselle and Robert (Jean) Forni of Spring Grove, Illinois; grandchildren Laura (Chris) Heinl and Jason Forni; and great-grandchild Kendall Heinl. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis and brother Arnold Noetzelman. A visitation for Sandy will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral service at 12:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia.
