Susan W. Loughman Obituary Susan W. “Susie” Loughman, age 79, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her home in Geneva with her loving family by her side. She was born August 20, 1945, in Bay Shore, New York, the daughter of Dr. Henry George and Janie (Igoe) Wehmann. Susie earned her college degree in Education from Ducheone Residence School in 1965. She began her career by teaching third grade at St. John's Bartholow in New York, where she worked for two years. Throughout her life, Susie held a variety of roles that reflected her dedication to both education and community service. From 1987 to 1990, she was a kindergarten aide at Fourth Street School and an active member of the Real Estate Board from 1992 to 2008. Susie was also deeply involved in her local church and schools. She served as an usher at St. Peter’s Catholic Church and took on leadership roles as PTO president at both Fourth Street School and Coultrap Middle School. Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Susie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family—especially on the golf course. She is survived by daughters Susie of Denver, Cathy (Jay) Fuller of Geneva, and Deborah (Seth) Rosenberg of Downers Grove; grandchildren Michael and Matthew Fuller, and Morgan, Abbey, and Jackson Rosenberg; sisters Betsy Mills and Sally Wehmann; and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Michael, son Michael, and siblings Janie French and Hank Wehmann. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva with a liturgical wake service at 5:45 pm.
