She graduated with the class of 1975 from Glenbard East High School.Tania was fortunate to have found a place for her heart when she married her best friend, David Chizzo, July 18, 1981 in Naperville. They made their home Naperville for a time, before making Wheaton, Glendale Heights and most recently, North Aurora a place for love and laughter. “Be good, do goodâ€, was constant refrain, as well as “I love you to the moon and backâ€. 143 was her code for “I Love Youâ€, all of which became reminders to be the best person you can be and that you were loved. Tania always had a sympathetic and loving ear and was ready to help at a moments notice. She was the center of the family, always there to provide love, support, guidance, and wisdom. She was always happiest when spending time with her family and friends. God help you if you hurt her family; Mama Bear would come out in force and tales of survivors are few. She loved the outdoors and everything that came with it. Fishing, camping and swimming were favorite pastimes but they paled in comparison to anytime spent on the beach. All of these activities were special to her because it meant she was spending time with her family as she did them. She had an artist’s heart and an eye for beauty and enjoyed drawing, calligraphy, working with ceramics. Tania was passionate about astrology and enjoyed sharing her insights with others. She was a “strong Amazon userâ€, much to David’s chagrin and to Amazon’s delight. Above all Tania loved her grandchildren to the moon and back. She leaves her loving husband of 39 years, David Chizzo; three children: Eric (Heather) Chizzo, Megan (Kyle) Garafolo and Amanda (Mike) Wigder; five grandchildren: Makenna Chizzo, Jake and Josh Garafolo and Ally and Ryan Wigder; her mother, Norma Kellar and her brother, Greg Kellar.
