William B. Harvey Obituary William Boyd Harvey, age 88, of Campton Hills, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 28, 1936, in Somerville, Tennessee, the son of William and Margaret (Leatherwood) Harvey. In his free time, Boyd found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted Chicago sports fan, never missing a game. He loved tending to his vegetable garden, reading a good book, and most of all, he treasured every moment spent with family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughters Kathryn (Eddie d. 2021) Hayward of Roselle and Sandra (Thomas) Serewicz of Elgin; grandchildren Daniel (Catherine) Serewicz, Kristina (Matt) Yockey, Alyssa (Chris) Wido, and Holly (Deivi) Seitllari; great-grandchildren Austyn, Kamryn, Briggs, Sterling, Sullivan, Sutton, and soon to be born Beckham; siblings Bev (Margie) Harvey, Peggy (Bailey) Winsted, Betty (Charles) Krannichfeld, Lynn Yager, Joan Harvey, Nancy Harvey, Glenn Harvey, and many other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife Darlene who passed away in 2021, as well as his siblings Olivia, Kathy, Larry, Jerry, Mitchell, Terry, and Thomas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 9:00 am at Malone Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien.
