Kenneth Joseph Schultz

Kenneth Joseph Schultz, 82, passed away peacefully on May 9^th, 2019 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL.

Ken was born in Chicago, IL on October 2^nd, 1936 to Leo and Mae (Losh) Schultz. He is survived by his sister, Louise (Schultz) Eischen and preceded in death by his brother, Leon Schultz and his parents. He graduated from Wells High School in 1954. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 1961 and a Master’s Degree in Education in 1965 from Southern Illinois University. He was the director of Recreation in Rochester, NY, Port Washington, WI, Skokie, IL, Elgin, IL and Schiller Park, IL. For the past 20 years, Ken has worked as a security guard for Levy Security Corporation at the Q Center in St. Charles, IL.

Ken married Barbara Kaste in 1963 and they had three daughters, Annemarie (Ken) Husser, Kristin Schultz, and Carleen Molloy (Patrick). Ken was the grandfather to Madeline, Luke, Matthew and Bryan. Ken and Barbara divorced in 1990 and remained friends.

Ken loved classical music and was an aspiring self-taught pianist. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed throwing the javelin well into his seventies. Ken had a loving and generous spirit, touched the lives of many; he will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 29^th 11am-1pm. at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St., Geneva, IL 60134. 11am Visitation, 12pm Service.
