Scott Davis, 42, of St. Charles, IL, passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2019.

Scott was born in Evanston, IL on May 2, 1977. He attended St. Charles schools and obtained his GED at Elgin Community College where he completed further course work in Automotive Mechanics. Early in life, Scott developed a great love for sports. He played baseball, soccer and enjoyed bike riding. As an adult his love for sports continued passing this love to his boys. He cherished watching his boys play baseball with St. Charles Youth Baseball. Scott was a dedicated Chicago sports fan, always cheering on the Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks. He also had a soft spot to cheer for the Steelers. He had impressive culinary skills, he loved to cook, grill and smoke meats. Scott was someone everyone knew they could depend on for a helping hand. He was generous with his time and enjoyed helping people whenever he could, however he could. Scott had a great competitive spirit and would gladly let you know that he was going to win and you were going to lose. Scott’s family was everything to him. He strived each day to be an amazing husband. He would say his greatest achievement in life was when he became a father. He took the responsibility of being a father with pride. He loved his boys with everything he had. Scott was an amazing man. He is deeply loved and is going to missed greatly by so many.

Scott is survived by the love of his life Jennifer Samuelson, his beloved sons Chance and Beckett, his parents Lawrence Davis and Pamela (Ron)  Szweistis, Jennifer’s father Clay Samuelson, his sister Katie Davis, his brothers Brad, Randy and Matt Davis, Jennifer’s sisters Jacqueline Samuelson, Beth (Nick) Lucarelli, Holly Samuelson, his grandmother Sharon Bergquist, Jennifer’s grandmother Elaine Samuelson, in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving friends that he considered family.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents Doug and Mary Davis, grandmother Dorothy Linden and grandfather Carl Bergquist, Jennifer’s mother Lynn Samuelson, his uncle and cousin.

Services will be held Thursday October 17 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main St (corner of Route 64 and Route 25) in St. Charles. Visitation will begin at 4:00pm followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery 1200 N. 5th Ave in St. Charles on Friday October 18 at 10:00am.
