Alma Jean Carstensen

Alma Jean Carstensen, 88, of Batavia, Il., passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Brighton Gardens of St. Charles.  Alma was born on August 20, 1933, in Chicago, Il., the daughter of John and Pearl (nee. Horrisch) Donnelly.  She was united in Marriage to Arthur “Bud” Carstensen on September 13, 1953, in Chicago, Il.

Alma is survived by her four children, Lydia Schonback, John “Jack” Carstensen, William “Bill” Carstensen and Michael Carstensen; her four grandchildren, Nichole Swanson, David Schonback Jr., Ben Carstensen and Kyle Schonback; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 69 years, Arthur “Bud” Carstensen, her sister, Bernice Zalesiak; and her brother, John Donnelly.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, Il. 60510.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. also at the funeral home.  Interment will be held privately at a later date at Resurrection Catholic cemetery in Geneva, Il.
