Barton Arthur Lautz

Barton Arthur Lautz, 77, of Batavia passed away December 22, 2020.  He was born July 22, 1943 in Oak Park, IL the son of Arthur Garfield and Virginia (nee Hall) Lautz.  He was united in marriage to Bernadette Biel June 8, 1974 in Lombard, IL. 

Bart served in the U.S. army and was active with the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 1197 in Batavia.  He spent his professional life working in the printing press industry, and for his work he traveled all over the world.  He loved the smell of freshly cut grass and the sound of a newly paved road.  In his younger days, he was passionate about flying and scuba diving, and in his later years he enjoyed reading, playing computer golf, and engaging in lively political discussions.  He was always ready with a smile over a shared beer, and he never turned down a good steak.  

He is survived by his wife Bernadette; three children Quinn Lautz, Brooke (Hugh Lippincott) Lautz and Kelly Lautz; and a sister Janice Davis.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
