Colin Michael Murtaugh

Colin Michael Murtaugh, 43, of Batavia, IL. formerly Glen Ellyn, IL., passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Batavia, IL.  Colin was born on November 26, 1976 in Winfield, IL. the son of Christopher and Nancy (nee. Hanauer) Murtaugh.  Colin was united in marriage to Ashley G. Prissel on May 1, 2010 in Naples, FL.

Colin was a loving husband and father.  He was a proud graduate of DePaul University. A multi-talented musician, and strong supporter of all the Chicago teams.  He loved playing golf and spending time with his two boys. 

Colin is survived by his loving wife, Ashley G. Murtaugh; his two sons, Gavin and Finn Murtaugh; his parents, Christopher and Nancy Murtaugh; his brother, Jason Murtaugh; his sister, Alison (Sean) LaFortune; his In-Laws, Brian and Renee Prissel;  his two sister-in-laws, Stephanie (Ross Dorwin) Prissel and Chelsey (Steven) Rademacher; his brother-in-law, Thomas (Emily) Prissel; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his niece Abigail Prissel.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street, Batavia, IL. 60510.  Interment will be held privately.
