David Lee Adam
May 8, 1941 - September 5, 2021 David L. Adam, 80, of Sugar Grove formerly of Batavia passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Asbury Gardens in North Aurora. He was born May 8, 1941, in Aurora the son of Christian and Zita (nee Warkins) Adam. He was united in marriage to Mona Huss October 13, 1962, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora. David was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic in Batavia. Following his retirement, he spent most of his free time serving others either individually, through the Church or with St. Vincent de Paul Society. Dave’s favorite time was being together with people, especially his family. He will always be remembered for being a great cook and the enjoyment he received while serving his family or friends. He is survived by his wife Mona; three children, Daniel (Leah) Adam of Acworth, GA, Timothy (Kay) Adam, of Tokyo, Japan, and Heather (Ken) Ruffalo Sugar Grove, IL; four grandchildren, Mitch, Samantha, Anna, and Nicholas; a brother, John Adam; and two sisters Mary Anne (Don) Weber and Peggy (Ken) Ramsey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his biological parents, Christian and Zita Adam, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Eugene Adam, and a sister Jeanie Walt. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 10, 2021, from Moss Family Funeral Home, before proceeding to Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.
