David James Davenport
December 16, 1988 - October 25, 2022 Beloved David James Davenport passed away on October 25th, 2022, after lifelong struggles with congenital heart disease. In life, he was known for his good humor, stoicism, and perseverance. His faith did not come from religious conviction, or a lack of knowledge about his own repeated palliations. His resilience was his own- an ever-burning, quiet fire stoked by his desire to be truly happy- and of course, the endless support of every single person who loved him. His conviction towards a full life allowed him to work, wed, and start a family. David exists as the embodiment of the indomitable human spirit. His life was wrought with struggle, born with health issues that have already claimed the vast majority of his peers in his time. And yet he was still somehow wholly with us- championing through every appointment, procedure, infusion and surgery. He will forever be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving husband and father, with a mischievous sense of humor. He was a dear friend to many. David enjoyed his work as a software developer, and was an avid lover of science fiction- particularly Star Wars and Star Trek. His favorite roles were that of father, to his adored daughter, Diana Lucia Davenport and husband to his wife, Anahied Victoria Rayzian. He will be desperately missed. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Marilyn J. Davenport, and his maternal grandfather, Robert O. Anderson. David is survived by his wife, Anahied Victoria Rayzian, his daughter Diana Lucia Davenport, his siblings Robert, Elizabeth (Robert), Dominic, Ian, Stephen and Lucy, his father James Davenport (Kathy), his mother Amy Gorski (James), his paternal grandfather, Oakley O. Davenport, and his maternal grandmother, Lucy Anderson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to David’s GoFundMe page at www.GoFundMe.com – David Davenport’s Triple Transplant. |
