Einere Charlene Marshall

Einere Charlene Marshall February 24, 1934 - December 7, 2022

Einere Charlene Marshall passed away December 7, 2022 from complications of long-term dementia.

Born February 24, 1934 to Einer Hansen and Fern Powers.  She never met her father as he had just died and her mother went from his funeral directly to the hospital to give her birth. Named after her father, she was called Einere and began her life during the great depression.

For a period of her life as a child, she was cared for by her Uncle Dutson and Aunt Isabelle Dales.  This time included living with them and fostering a closer relationship with their cousins Audrey, Charlene, Janet, and Barbara.

She initially lived around 30 years in Aurora, Il where her family connections included her uncle’s uncle:  Phillip Moses of “Phillip’s Park who nephew was married to her Aunt Marion.  Her last marriage was to Charles Marshall, who was the Chief of Police in Batavia, IL.  While there, she was a member of Batavia VFW & Auxiliary Post 1197.

When Charles retired, they moved from Batavia to Gordon, WI where she lived for the next 40 years.  She was employed as a bus driver for the Northwood School District, Minong, WI for 36 years before she retired.

As Einere passed, she rejoined precious family who preceded her: her father Einer whom she never met, her mother Fern; her only sibling and beloved brother Ronald King who left us in 2020; her daughter Deborah Ann Beyer who died in 1979, and grandson Andy Bell in 2021.

Einere leaves behind four children Roger Loeb, Bob Beyer, Charles Marshall Jr., Cheryl Herod whom all received a lifetime of love from mother devoted to them.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Always believing the worst would happen to her throughout her life, she now resides in heaven surrounded by those who have always loved her and a God who loves her more than she ever thought possible.

Services for Einere Marshall will be held Saturday December 17 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S Batavia Ave, Batavia, IL.   A showing will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and a service at 11:00 a.m.    Her burial will follow at River Hills Memorial Park, 1650 S River St, Batavia where she will be buried next to her husband Charles Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to: Rush University Alzheimer's Disease Center Armour Academic Center 600 South Paulina Street, Suite 130 Chicago, IL 60612
