Elaine June Brasel

Elaine J. (Sak) Brasel, 82, of Aurora, IL.  passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Seasons Hospice, in Naperville, Il.  Elaine was born on June 23, 1939, in Joliet, IL., the daughter of Edward L. and Angela J. (nee. Mahne) Sak.  Elaine married the late Jesse J. Woodworth and later married the late Raymond T. Brasel.  

Elaine graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1957.  She was an avid Cubs fan, member of the Catholic Church and a loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and great grandmother.

Elaine is survived by her four children Deborah Aebi (Mark), Michael Woodworth (Ruth), Beverly Woodworth and Marilyn Woodworth (Neal), five grandchildren Christopher Miller (Erika), Brandy Thomas (John), Carolyn Larson (Joseph), Alexander Woodworth (Rachel), Joseph Pianovski, and three great-grandchildren Madelynn, Kai and Lahna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jesse J. Woodworth; her second husband, Raymond T. Brasel; her brother Edward and his loving wife Patricia Sak.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL. 60510.  Interment will be held at West Batavia Cemetery, Batavia, IL.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, https://www.stjude.org/donate.
