Ellen Lee Boyette

Ellen Lee Boyette, 79, died December 3, 2022, at Asbury Gardens in Aurora, IL. She was born July 16, 1943, in Chicago, IL. The oldest child of William Alexander and Ethel (Nebel) Lee. 

Ellen met her husband Rodney Glenn Boyette in Arlington Heights, IL and they married June 3, 1962. They celebrated 50 years of marriage. Ellen retired from Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Elgin, IL. She was also employed at Jewel, Leewards and United Airlines. Ellen was also a long-time member of the Zion Lutheran Church choir. 

Ellen loved her family with her whole heart. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved parties and holiday celebrations the most. Her generous spirit touched so many lives and her laughter will be deeply missed. 

Ellen is survived by her son, Rodney W. Boyette, daughter, Susan Barbeau (husband Richard). She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Marc, Jamie, Kevin, Jessica, Matt, Kurt, and Brett. Three great-grandchildren; Lucas, Myles, and Lexie. Three brothers; William Lee, Randy Lee, and John Lee. Three sisters; Kathy Hendricks, Dorothy Oates and Maureen Schefick.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL.  The visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.  until the time of the service at the funeral home.  A private interment will be held in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
