Ellen V. Walsh

Ellen V. Walsh, 88, of Batavia, Il.  formerly of Hoffman Estates, IL.  passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at her residence at Covenant Living at the Holmstad of Batavia, IL.  Ellen was born on August 25, 1932 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Charles and Helen (nee. Montville) Thompsett.  She was united in marriage to Frank J. Walsh on July 11, 1953 in Chicago, IL.

Ellen is survived by her three children; Kathy (Bruce) Meyer, Lori (Bill) Boyle, and Richard (Lisa) Walsh, five grandchildren; Jeffrey (Melissa) Meyer, Stacy (Doug) Brock-Jones, Matthew Barnes, Cassandra Walsh and Liam Walsh, two great grandchildren; Grant Brock-Jones and Carter Meyer.  Her sister; Barbara (Roger) Martini, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband; Frank J. Walsh, and her grandson; Julian Barnes.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street, St. Charles, IL. 60174.  Interment will be held privately at St. Michael the Arch Angel in Palatine, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to Chapelstreet Church Food Pantry, 2300 South Street, Geneva, IL. 60134, or Samaritans Purse, www.samaritanspurse.org.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions of occupancy, the visitation will be limited. All visitors entering the funeral home are required to wear a face covering.  Be prepared to wait outside if occupancy becomes an issue. Due to the number of people who would like to pay their respects, we ask that you make your visitation a brief one so that all who would like to attend will have a chance to do so.
