Emil John Kreibach, Jr.
February 8, 1944 - February 25, 2022 Emil John Kreibach, Jr., 78, of North Aurora, IL passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2022 after a valiant battle with esophageal cancer. Emil graduated from Morton East High School in 1963, then served in the United States Navy where he was a Machinist's Mate. After his discharge from the military in 1967, Emil met his future wife at a deli where she waited on him for breakfast. Asking for her phone number, she accidently gave him the wrong one and it took him several days to track her down at the correct number to ask her out on a proper date. They were married in 1968 and celebrated their 53rd anniversary in October 2021. Emil spent his career as a machinist for the Eaton Corporation in Carol Stream until his retirement in 2001. Always a hard worker and not one to be idle, he worked for years in the automotive department at Sears and Montgomery Ward as an auto mechanic on nights and weekends. After retirement he continued to work part time as a delivery driver for Sodexo food services at the East Aurora High School and the Advanced Auto Parts Warehouse in Aurora to keep himself busy. Emil was always a hard worker and did so throughout his cancer treatments too. Emil always put family first, by working hard and doing all he could to provide for them. The family went on many unforgettable vacation adventures over the years thanks to him. He instilled strength, loyalty, truthfulness and reliability in his children who went on to pursue careers in the U.S. Armed Forces and Public Safety. He was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family. He was tough and tender and will always be remembered for his story telling. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL. 60510.
