Eric Paul Bykowski
January 17, 1976 - February 5, 2022 Eric Paul Bykowski, 46, of Yorkville, Illinois passed away on February 5, 2022. He was born January 17, 1976, to his parents Paul and Geri (Moro) in Chicago, Illinois. Eric was a deputy with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and served for 26 years. He married his wife, Karen, on March 25, 2017. They moved to Yorkville in 2018. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved listening to music. His favorite artists were Iron Maiden and Lindsey Sterling. He liked to play video games, and loved The Evil Dead movies and TV shows. On the weekend you would typically find Eric enjoying a glass of bourbon and a cigar while smoking a brisket or racks of ribs. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and was proud to be the master of the grill and smoker. He was a husband, son, brother, uncle, dog-dad, and friend that will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law Kristen (Peterson) Pool, uncle Len (Martine) Bykowski and his beloved pets Wrigley, Linus, and Emma. Eric is survived by his wife Karen (Pool) Bykowski, his parents Paul and Geri (Moro) Bykowski, his sister Michelle (Matt Daye), father-in-law Jack (Joan) Pool, brothers-in-law Matt (Lauren) Pool and Eric (Phoenix) Pool, aunt: Ruth (Glen) Netrasa, uncles: Mark Moro, Phil Bykowski, Ray Bykowski, and nieces and nephews: Miranda Daye, Megan Daye, Jackson Pool, Allison Pool. He is also survived by his beloved pets Trooper, Harley, and Lucy. Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home. 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. A funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow the visitation in Kaneville Cemetery, Kaneville, IL. |
