Gene Edith Aldrich
 July 25, 1932 - October 25, 2022 Gene Edith Aldrich, 90, of Batavia passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was born July 25, 1932, in Aurora the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Mahara) Beckman. Gene was united in marriage to John C. Anderson until his death and later married Melvin Aldrich. Gene was an active member of several fraternal organizations; the Batavia Woman of the Moose #682, since 1963, a life member of the Batavia VFW Auxiliary #1197, American Legion of Yorkville, Phoenix Club of Aurora,and American Luxemburg Club. Gene was a dedicated employee for over 24 years at Richardson Electronics. She also was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Anderson, of Janesville, WI, and Gary Anderson, of Batavia; two daughters, Jacqueline (Oscar) Robbins, of Kentucky and Margaret Anderson, of Batavia; her grandchildren, Sheila Bishop, Christa Anderson, Lindsay, and Celia Anderson; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Oliver Beckman of Batavia; and two sisters, Johanna Tracy of West Burlington, IA, Alice (Larry) Locke of Sheldon, IA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by first husband John C. Anderson and 2nd husband Melvin Aldrich; two sons John C. Anderson Jr. and Mark Anderson; two brothers, James H. Beckman, and Charles Beckman, a sister Mildred Carter, and two grandchildren Tabatha Moore and Glenda Knight. Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3:00 P.M.
