Helen Guerrieri

Helen “Pat” Guerrieri, 82, of Warrenville, IL passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Wynscape Health & Rehabilitation in Wheaton, IL. Pat was born April 6, 1938 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Nicholas Sylvester and Audrey Maxine (nee Thomas) Hardt.  She was united in marriage to Cesare Vincent Guerrieri on May 20, 1961.

Pat was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend. Pat was a lover of life! She was kind-hearted, compassionate, always had a positive attitude, selfless, giving, courageous, strong, spiritual, loved to laugh and loved unconditionally!

Pat and Cesare raised their five children on Gates Place along with the many neighbors and friends that evolved into family. She loved entertaining on her porch and a good conversation whether at her home or yours.

Pat retired from Mooseheart International and maintained many friendships. Prayer, church and sending notes to others fed her soul. All the people she loved and especially her grandchildren filled her heart. Smurfs, book club, music, the CUBS, watching tv, going to the casino, card/dice games, hot dogs and ice cream brought her joy. She truly believed that every day was a blessing! 

Her beautiful spirit will forever be cherished by her five children, Kim Guerrieri, Sherri Guerrieri, Nicki (John) Wiggins, Tony (Sandy) Guerrieri and Angela Guerrieri; her wonderful grandchildren, Sean Wiggins, Caitlyn Wiggins and Jacob Guerrieri; her little sis, Bonnie Dexter; her nephew Aaron Dexter; the “adopted ones”  Pete, Bob and Matt Cissik; her dearest and best friends Marion and Gary Gaffney and many others.

A private funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home. A private interment will be held at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.

A public memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M.
