Helen M. Piker

Helen M. Piker, 99, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019 at her residence at Asbury Gardens in North Aurora, IL.  Helen was born on October 19, 1920 in Chicago, IL. the daughter of Kazimer and Kazimera (nee. Wasielewski) Widmont.  She was united in marriage to Gilbert F. Piker Sr. on December 14, 1941.

Helen is survived by her three sons, Gilbert (Barbara) Piker Jr. of Westmont, IL; Tim Parker of Batavia, IL. Paul (Sheri) Piker of Las Vegas, NV. Seven  grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gilbert F. Piker Sr.; her daughter, Judith A. Kinsey; and her son, Richard D. Piker.

Helen was a homemaker and mother of five; active in Garden Club, League of Women Voters, & Women’s Club in Batavia, while raising her children. She was an exceptional cook and seamstress and loved her family, travel, going to the casino and following her favorite team the Chicago Bulls. She was a feisty, strong woman, who was active until the age of ninety six, when she became disabled.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL. 60510.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 6, 2019 with prayers at the funeral home.  Mass will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main St., Batavia, IL. 60510.  Interment will be held at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
