Jacqueline Lorraine Ullman

Jacqueline Lorraine “Jacci” Ullman, 95, of St. Charles, IL, formerly of Batavia, IL and Manitowish Waters, WI passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at The Grove of St. Charles.  She was born April 16, 1925, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Lorraine Irene Edinger and William Jack Williams.

Jacci lived and worked in Chicago until the mid-50’s as a waitress and then as a currency-exchange manager. She relocated to Wonder Lake, IL with her husband Clarence Ullman and three children.  She sold Avon door-to-door for many years and was recognized as a top sales leader. In the early 70’s, she relocated to Mercer, WI and opened a successful bar and restaurant.  A few years later, she purchased the Ding-A-Ling supper club in Manitowish, WI.  Jacci operated this business for over twenty years until it was sold to her son, Guy.  She was active in the Manitowish Waters Lioness Club and was named “Lioness of the Year.”  She then relocated to Batavia, IL to live with her daughter, Penny.  She was active in the Batavia Woman’s Club and enjoyed modeling for their annual fundraising fashion show.  She was also a member of the Congregational Church of Batavia.  Recently, she lived at Heritage Woods in Batavia, IL and then spent her last year at The Grove of St. Charles.  She is admired for her business acumen, her strong sense of responsibility, her opinions and values, and her enjoyment of life. 

Jacci is survived by her three children, Penny (Leigh) Tracy, Guy (Betsy) Ullman and Deborah (Rey) Lopez; her five grandchildren, Nicole Ullman, Brad (Amanda) Tracy, Jennifer Tracy, Eric (Tina) Ullman and Cheryl (Maria Puentes) Tracy; five great grandchildren, Christian, Colton, Jubilee, Cody and Ember; and her three siblings, Patricia Langhurst, Edward Edinger and Arthur Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Leatrice Walter and her brother Michael Edinger.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
