James Patrick Perreault

James Patrick Perreault July 31, 1942 - December 18, 2022

James Patrick Perreault, 80, of Dowagiac, Michigan passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Elmhurst, IL July 31, 1942, and raised in Lombard, IL the son of Wilfred and Annetta (nee Fritz) Perreault.  Raised by his father who was the Chief of the Lombard Fire Department Jim and all his brothers served as volunteer fireman.  On November 25, 1967, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Smith in Glen Ellyn, IL.   

Jim was a proud American who served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1971.  He was an electrical contractor who was a member of the Local Union 701.  He was an active man who loved to play golf and had the opportunity to have scored 5 hole-in-one during his life.  A competitive man with great athletic talent he played softball, hocky, golf, tennis and enjoyed riding his bike.         

Jim is survived by his wife Kathleen, a son Jim (Margaret) Perreault, Jr., a daughter, Cherie (David) Hickisch; six grandchildren, Jimmy (Basia) Perreault, III, Mary Clare Perreault, Michael Perreault, Catherine Hickisch, Maggie Perreault, Cecilia Hickisch; a brother, Bud Perreault, and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two brothers Dennis Perreault and Robert Perreault. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 

Funeral services will begin with prayers 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2022, from Moss Family Funeral Home, before proceeded to Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2300 Main Street Batavia, IL to celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.
