James R. Sandersfeld

James R. Sandersfeld, 79, of Batavia passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2022, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Illinois. He was born May 25, 1943, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The son of Edmund and Helen (Zopf) Sandersfeld. He was united in marriage to Barbara Brieschke September 12, 1992, in Bensenville, Illinois.

He enjoyed many sports and was a lifelong Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox Fan.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Sandersfeld; his children Bonnie (Lorne) Katz and Robert (LuAnn) Sandersfeld; His step daughter Terri Damas; Grandchildren Joshua Katz, Danielle Katz, Jonathon Alampi, Jeremy (Antionette) Skaar; his brother Lowell (Wanda) Sandersfeld and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Frances (Krueger) Sandersfeld and his brother Charles Sandersfeld

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M.  Monday, January 2, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran church 950 Hart Rd, Batavia, IL 60510

Inurnment will take place at Zion Lutheran Church in Bensenville, Illinois at a later date.
