Jesse James Marlowe

Jesse James Marlowe, 62, of Batavia, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, February 6, 2022.  He was born March 30, 1959, in Murray, KY the son of David and Elizabeth Ann (Campanelli) Marlowe. 

Jesse was a graduate of Batavia High School, class of 1977.  He then enlisted and proudly served in the United States Army. Early in his life he attended trade school to become a diesel mechanic and welder. Jesse had various jobs but worked most of his life as a truck driver for Batavia Concrete.  He was an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting. He was very handy and mechanically minded who could fix just about everything. 

He is survived by his loving mother Elizabeth “Betsy”; two stepbrothers, John (Shirly) Swick, Jr. and David (Patti) Swick, a stepsister, Janice Badheartbull; a nephew Shane Schrauth, a niece Sheena Schrauth, a step-nephew, David Swick, and a step-niece Christina Swick.    

He is preceded in death by his father, David Marlowe, his stepfather John Swick, and his sister Tammy Schrauth, his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ethel Campanelli and paternal grandparents James and Edith Marlowe. 

Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M.  Interment will be in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.
