Joan M. Crawford

Joan M. Crawford, 94, of Aurora passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Avantara in Aurora, Illinois. She was born November 26, 1928, in Aurora, Illinois.  She was united in marriage to William Crawford in 1957 and they moved to Aurora, Illinois.

In 1962 they built a home in Aurora, where she lived for the rest of her life.  Also, that same year, their only child (John) was born.

Joan loved to cook and bake, especially with her granddaughters, Morgan and Chelsey.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She was an avid reader, mostly mysteries and also enjoyed doing word puzzles. She also loved to feed the birds, her favorite being the Cardinals.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband William; sisters: Shirl, Maryland and Donna; and her brother, Robert.  She is survived by her son John, his wife Deb, her granddaughters Morgan and Chelsey (husband Geoff) and her great-granddaughter Vivian. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Avenue, IL.
