John A. Jakubowski

John Jakubowski, 75, of Aurora, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Aurora, IL.  John was born on July 18, 1946, in Chicago, IL., the son of Arthur and Diane (nee. Pavone) Jakubowski. John was united in marriage to Judith Gossman on October 6, 2018, in St. Charles, IL. and to late Laura Reeves on September 2, 1967, in Elmwood Park, Il.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Jakubowski; one son, John Paul (Kristen) Jakubowski; three daughters, Kathleen (Allan) Schmidt, Julie (Joel) Howard, and Maureen Franzmann; two stepsons, Michael Borneman and Steven (Kristen) Borneman; six grandsons, Jacob Jakubowski, A.J. Schmidt, Jordan Howard, Leonardo, Logan, and Quinn Franzmann; four granddaughters, Abbie Schmidt, Jaden Howard, and Madison and Morgan Jakubowski; and many step grandchildren; one sister, Joan (Robert) Schackmann.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Laura E. Jakubowski and one son, David Jakubowski.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Homes, 209 S. Batavia Avenue, Batavia, IL.  Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home at 9:15 AM Monday, December 27, 2021, before proceeding to Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Road, Aurora, IL., to celebrate Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
