Joseph Michael Albers

Joseph Michael Albers, 36, of Batavia passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Franciscan Health Center in Dyer, IN following a sudden heart attack.  Joseph was born May 31, 1986, in Lubbock, TX the son of Michael Henry and Michelle LaRue (Fritz) Albers. 

Joseph was a graduate of Batavia High School, he then enlisted into the United State Navy.  Joe worked as a Navy Nuclear Power Technician where he was stationed on the USS Enterprise Aircraft Carrier.  Joe has been employed in the electric power industry for the past many years.   

Joe is survived by his parents; Michael and Michelle; a brother Karl “Rupert” Albers; maternal grandmother Medrith Fritz, his aunt Maria Fritz and an uncle Kurt Fritz. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vance and Gertrude Albers and his maternal grandfather Robert Fritz. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 19, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Mark Lutheran Church 101 South 6^th Avenue St. Charles, IL.  He will lie in state from 12:00 P.M until the time of the service at the church.  Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery in Batavia.
