Kathryn “Kay” Crothers, 88, of St. Charles and formerly of Wheaton and Wedron, IL passed away April 23, 2020 at her home. She was born October 21, 1931 in Detroit, MI the daughter of George and Effie (McKnight) Wenham. She was united in marriage to William John Crothers April 5, 1952, in Detroit, MI. Kay’s faith and family were her life pleasures. Anywhere Kay and Bill moved they found a church home. They were members of Geneva Road Baptist Church in Wheaton, then Marseilles First Baptist Church, and most recently attended the Chapelstreet Church in Geneva. She stayed active within her church communities. At Chapelstreet she served her Lord through the food pantry, senior bible study and the Forget-Me-Nots. Family completed Kay’s life. Kay and Bill owned a family cottage in Michigan which gave their family many opportunities to share many memories together. Kay’s legacies will be her Strawberry Nana Jelly and her infectious smile. She is survived by her four children, Bill (Gerri) Crothers, Daryl (Debbie) Crothers, Wendy (Paul) Jensen, and Alan (Jamie) Crothers; seven grandchildren, Leslie (John) Singh, Bill Jr. (Mindy) Crothers, Megan (Jeremy) McLaughlin, Sean and Douglas Jensen, and Chris and Kathryn Crothers; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband Bill, and a sister Beverly Davis.
