Keith Timothy Altman
August 9, 1968 - March 11, 2022 Keith Timothy Altman passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Elmhurst Hospital on March 11, 2022. He was 53 years old. Keith originally grew up in Elmhurst, IL and later Batavia, IL where he graduated from Batavia High School in 1987. He later attended Triton College, and then later received his Associates degree from Waubonsee Community College in 1991. Keith was a hard worker and had many jobs in his lifetime, including working at Richmond Brothers Clothing, the Meat Market in Batavia, Nabisco in Naperville and then for ten years as a Phone Bank Customer Service Agent with Wells Fargo Bank in Sacramento, CA. Keith relocated from Illinois to Roseville, CA in 2004 and spent 10 years living in California where he enjoyed spending time with his brother Kevin Altman and his older brother Craig Altman along with Craig’s wife, son and daughter. During this time he walked multiple Thanksgiving 5K’s, canoe camped in the Sierra Mountains, played computer video games on the internet with close friends on a computer he built, and watched his nephew Randall Altman and niece Lauren Altman in youth sporting events. Keith loved everything that was science fiction and was a huge fan of Star Trek. He would go to conventions and collect memorabilia, including autographs from his favorite stars. In 2016, Keith was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Dermomyositis. Through the years, he fought bravely and never gave up hope of a cure and always had support from his family. Keith was preceded in death by his father Ronald Altman. He is survived by his mother Carlene Altman, and her children Craig Altman, Kevin Altman, Carla Altman (Buell) and Christopher Altman, his brother-in-law John Buell, nephews Randall Altman and Grayson Buell, nieces Lauren Altman and Katherine Buell, and Aunt Dorothy Warren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 8 S Lincoln St, Batavia, IL 60510. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Bethany Lutheran Church. Interment will be held privately.
