Kent Robert Phillips

Kent Robert Phillips, 69, of Yorkville, IL., passed away on February 28, 2022, at his home in Yorkville, IL.  Kent was born on October 27, 1952, in Aurora, IL., the son of Robert and Shirley (nee. Helfers) Phillips.   He was united in marriage to Julia Perna on October 30, 1976, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia, IL.

 Kent was a graduate of Batavia High School Class of 1971.  He proudly served in the US Army and the Army National Guard.   He then went on to become a successful business owner of Sir Speedy Print | Signs | Marketing for over 35 years.  His real passion was spending time with family and friends and watching Nascar on Sunday afternoons.  He made many memories while boating, fishing, golfing and snowmobiling with his loved ones.

Kent is survived by his two sons, Kyle (Katie) Phillips and Ryan Phillips; two granddaughters, Aubriella and Evalynn Phillips; two sisters, Debbie (Michael) Sampiller and Terri Crowther; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Julia Phillips.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Funeral services will begin with prayers 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home before processing Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia to Celebrate Mass at 10:30 A.M.  Interment will follow in River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kent’s name may be directed the American Heart Association, https://www.heart.org/,  or the American Lung Association, https://action.lung.org/.
