Louis G. LaBuda
September 15, 1957 - February 15, 2020 Louis G. “Lou” LaBuda, 62, of Batavia, IL. passed away on Saturday February 15, 2020 peacefully at his home with his wife by his side. Lou was born on September 15, 1957 in Chicago IL., the son of Gus and Connie (nee. Castiello) LaBuda. He was united in marriage to Mary R. McKay on September 5, 1986. Anyone that came across Lou’s path never forgot him. He treated everyone the same and showed everyone his incredible work ethic and passion. He gave all his energy to anything he undertook and devoted himself completely to what he was taking on. He was a master carpenter and had talents that made many peoples vision come to life. His passion for everything in his life included sports, particularly his Chicago Cubs, who would make his day when they won. Most important Lou was a man of great faith and used that faith to get him through the difficulties in life especially his 18 month battle with cancer. Devoted husband, Father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, he always gave his all. Lou is survived by his loving wife, Mary R. LaBuda; two daughters, Erin (Phil) Hope and Julia LaBuda; his mother, Connie LaBuda; four grandchildren, Hadley Hope, Michaela Caldwell, Riley Hope and Blake Caldwell; Siblings, Joann (Al) Salas, Antonette (Bill) Kloska and Judy (Ken) Gay, Randy Powers; several nieces and nephews and many fond friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus LaBuda; and his uncle, Ben Castiello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 21 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL. 60174. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM also at the church. Interment will be held at Prairie Cemetery in St. Charles, IL.
