Marcia Kay Voss

Marcia Voss, 73, of Sugar Grove passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2022, at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield.  She was born December 6, 1948, in Chicago the daughter of Chester and Elizabeth (Harrington) Lulinski.  She was united in marriage to Walter ‘Wally” Stephano June 9, 2017, in Batavia, IL.

Marica was born and raised in Chicago and pursued her college education from NIU where she graduated with a degree in education.  She was a bright and inspiring educator who taught for over thirty years at Joliet West High School.  Her first 10 years she taught English courses before serving as a guidance counselor for the last 22 years before retirement.  Always active and looking to inspire others Marcia started the Sugar Grove Woman’s Club.  Marica’s Lord and Savior was her guide and her foundation throughout her entire life.  She enjoyed spending time with her prayer group and was a member of ChapelStreet Church Mill Creek Campus.

She is survived by her loving husband, Wally; two children, Julie and Laura Puddicombe; her mother, Elizabeth Lulinski; a stepdaughter, Olivia Stephano, stepson, Ben (Erin) Bradley; three grandchildren, Zander and Libby Voss and Axel Bradley; a brother James (Cathy) Lulinski, a sister Betty (Kris) Kirby, her in-laws, Michael Stephano, Ronald (Linda) Stephano and Mark Stephano; her adored nieces and nephews, Jessica (Mike) Sims, Rebecca (James) Flaminio, Jason (Sarah) Sroufe, Jacqueline (Zack) Nicholson; and her cousins, Jack (Rosemary) Gjeldum, Marylou (Milan) Rabatic, Tom (Rose Marie) Mehok, Janice (Gene) Kelly, Dan (Barb) Gjeldum, Bob (Helene) Mehok, Fran Mehok and Darice Grzybowski.   

She is preceded in death by her father Chester and her former husband’s Mark Puddicombe and Michael Voss.  

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4:00 P.M.
