Marilyn Georgeson

Marilyn B. Georgeson, 87, of Batavia and a 11-year resident of The Holmstad Retirement Community passed away Friday, January 28, 2022.  She was born August 24, 1934, in Chicago the daughter of Bernard and Cornelia (Kortenhovan) Van Proyan.

Marilyn served as the church secretary at Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia.  She then took her talents and became a legal secretary where she worked in Chicago for many years.  Marilyn loved her garden, her dogs and spending time with her family.    

She is survived by her children, David (Lori) Georgeson, Doug (Julie) Georgeson, Karen (Rich) Walen, and John B. (Susan) Georgeson; eight grandchildren, John C. (Emily), and Jennifer Georgeson, Shawn Rodenburg, Brian, Allison, Jack, Ellie, and Annie Georgeson; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Georgeson.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glen Van Proyan.
