Mary Carolyn O'Malley

Mary “Carolyn” O'Malley, 91, of St. Charles passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at River Crossing of Elgin.  She was born September 14, 1929, in St. Charles, IL the daughter of Joseph and Martha (nee Coryn) Driessen.  She was united in marriage to John O’Malley May 3, 1952, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles. 

She is survived by her children, Melissa (Robert) Schoppe of Plano, Texas, Timothy O'Malley of St. Charles, Constance (Thomas) Bumgarner of St. Charles, Mary Beth Evans of North Aurora, Joseph O’Malley of Geneva, Switzerland, and John (Joan) O'Malley of Belvidere; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothea Marshall, and Joanne Smith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and a son-in-law David Evans, and three brothers, William, Norbert, and Donald Driessen.

All funeral services will be held private.  She was laid to rest at Prairie Cemetery in St. Charles next to her beloved husband John.
