Michael James Marsek

Michael James Marsek, 77, of St. Charles passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.  Michael was born May 21, 1943 in Elgin, IL the son of Michael and Viola (Ball) Marsek.  He was united in marriage to Janet Leonette October 12, 1975 in Villa Park, IL.

Michael was employed for over 35 years as a Store Manager by Eagle Foods at several different locations in the Chicagoland area.  Following his career in retail foods, Michael went to work for an additional 20 year at the Burlington Railroad, retiring in 2015.  During his retirement Michael has fulfilled his spare time fishing, and spending time in Florida at their second home.   

He is survived by his loving wife Janet; five children, Michael J. Marsek, Debbie (Harry) Grow, Paula (Cedric) Bland, Scott Marsek and Tracy Marsek; and three grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, and Madison.

Due to COVID-19 and regulations regarding occupancy, the funeral services will be held privately.
