Michael Joseph Liotta
September 15, 1927 - October 27, 2022 Michael Joseph Liotta, 95, of North Aurora passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Jennings Terrace in Aurora. Michael was born in Chicago September 15, 1927, the son of James and Anna (Doringer) Liotta. He was united in marriage to Joan Alice Liotta August 12, 1950, in Chicago, IL. Michael served in the United States Army during the end of World War II. He was a talented and creative man who built model boats and ships all from scratch. Mike was first a family man who loved to spend time with his kids and especially his grandchildren. He leaves behind wonderful memories to his grandchildren of doing woodworking and being taught how to use grandpa’s power tools. He was employed as a sheet metal worker for more than 40 years at Binks Manufacturing in Franklin Park, IL. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Joan Liotta; his children, Mike (Deborah) Liotta, Linda (William) Prewett, and Lisa DiSerio; nine grandchildren, Eric (Therese) Liotta, Lyssa (Rich) Liotta, Nathan Liotta, Jillian Prewett, Collen Prewett, Alexander DiSerio, Anthony DiSerio, Emily (Nicholas) Minerva, and Andrew DiSerio; two great-grandchildren, Austin Olsen, and Liliana Olsen. He is preceded in death by his two sons Daniel and Philip Liotta. A funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL. |
