Moira Catherine Simpson

Moira Catherine Simpson, 60, of Naperville passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 following an automobile accident.  Cathy was born August 28, 1959 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Joseph and Maureen (O’Brien) Simpson. 

Cathy lived her life for her family and for others. Her selfless love for her family, her passion for her dogs, cat and horse will be truly missed. Her heart was always with her family, from spending time with her only son, to long conversations with her siblings to planning and beginning the remainder of her life with her fiancé. Cathy worked in the healthcare field after moving on from a long career in banking.

Cathy considered her family to be her greatest accomplishment. They made her proud every day, and they are truly proud of her and all she had done and given to this world.

She is survived by her loving son Rich (Kate) Aguilera; three grandchildren, Claire, Richard Jr., and Elise Aguilera; her fiance Mike Gray, future step-son Chris; a sister Deirdre Simpson, two brothers Joseph (Heather) Simpson and Christopher (Robin) Simpson and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at Moss-Norris Funeral Home.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing a visitation will be held private.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
