Raymond August DiGirolamo

Raymond “Ray” August DiGirolamo, 99, of Aurora, IL., passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at his residence at Alden of Waterford, in Aurora, IL.  Ray was born on August 8, 1920, in Toluca, IL. the son of Americo and Conchetta DiGirolamo. 

Ray lived a full, long life with much love.  In recent years he enjoyed dancing, playing cards, gardening, making pasta, and taking long walks around his neighborhood.  He could fix just about anything, and he gave the best hugs.  Rarely did you see him with out his rosary.  He loved and prayed for his family and friends; he wanted the best for all of us.

He is survived by two children, Bob (late Ruth) DiGirolamo and Judy (late Dan) Stelter; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many friends and extended family.

He was preceded by parents, his first wife, Rose DiGirolamo; his second wife, Louise DiGirolamo; his siblings, Albert, Sam, Eva, Thelma, Clara and Ned.

A funeral Mass will be held privately on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1820 Church Rd. Aurora, IL. 60505.  Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
