Richard Karl Buhle

Richard Karl Buhle, 85, of Surprise, AZ and formerly of Chicago, passed away suddenly while visiting Illinois to attend his granddaughter’s wedding. He passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL.  He was born February 4, 1936, in Chicago, IL the son of John and Edna (Spotten) Buhle.  He was united in marriage to Margaret Hampston June 22, 1957, in Chicago, IL. 

Richard proudly served in the United States Army.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He was a very patriotic man who showed generosity and care towards all people.  He was the type of person that everyone could count on.  He had a great love and passion for golf.  During his retirement he continued to work for many years as a ranger at Desert Springs Golf Course at Sun City Grand in Surprise, AZ. 

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; four children, Richard Buhle, Kathleen Buhle, Eileen (Paul) Brettman, and Thomas Buhle; nine grandchildren, Candice (Miguel) Lopez, Shannon (Rich) Tambroski, Richard Buhle, Kristen Firtik, Dennis Brettman, Erica (Tyler) Peterson, Tristan Buhle, Sarah Buhle, and Billy Buhle; twelve great-grandchildren; and brother John (Elizabeth) Buhle and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Maureen O’Meara, Marvin Buhle and Gloria Meringer. 

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.
