Robert A. Jackman

Robert A. Jackman, 75, of Batavia passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.  He was born December 5, 1944 in New York, NY, the son of William and Sally (Purvines) Jackman.  He was united in marriage to Linda Richey August 2, 1969 in Tenafly, NJ.

Robert Jackman was a loving Husband, Father, and Granddaddy. He was also an American Hero for his service in the U.S. Army after attending a year of college. He was revered and adored by his colleagues in data engineering. He was born In New York and met his wife at work shortly after arriving home from deployment. He and his wife loved to share wine tastings, vineyard tours and traveling. He taught his daughter how to fish, camp, ride a bike, and was amazed when she brought his only grandson into this world. He was one of a kind and will on forever be in the hearts of all who love him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; a daughter, Ginger Jackman; a grandson, Michael Childs III; and a sister, Beverly Brailsford. 

All services will be held private.  A private interment will be held in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
