Ronald Lee Dickensen

Ronald Lee Dickenson, 76, of Batavia passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Accent Care Hospice facility in Naperville.  He was born July 4, 1946, in Aurora, IL the son of Charles and Marjorie (Nelson) Dickenson.  He was united in marriage to Barbara Becker July 25, 1970, in Batavia, IL.

Ron was a graduate of Batavia High School, class of 1964.  Following high school Ron worked at Walt’s Super Market in Batavia until 1974.  He then went to work for the Larson Becker Corporation.  During the last 20 years of his working career, he was employed at the United State Post Office in Warrenville.  Ron was a kind man and a friendly face who was well known around Batavia.  He enjoyed his friends and will be missed at his daily morning coffee meetings that have been held throughout Batavia for many years.  In his past time Ron was an avid photographer who enjoyed shooting photographs of the area wildlife especially the Bald Eagles of Mooseheart.   

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; two children, Lisa Dickenson, and Greg (Becky) Dickenson; two grandchildren, Skyler, and Logan Dickenson; two sisters Sherry Buss, and Cindy (Ruben) Acosta; a sister-in-law Sandy Becker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Philip and Genevieve Becker, and a brother-in-law Robert Becker. 

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church 950 Hart Road Batavia, IL.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.  Interment will be in East Batavia Cemetery in Batavia, IL.
