Sandra Andrea Alexander
February 16, 1972 - November 24, 2022 It is with deep sadness that the family of Sandra Alexander (nee Grathoff) announces her sudden passing on November 24. 2022 at her home in Sycamore, Illinois. Sandra was born on February 16, 1972, in Geneva, Illinois, and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1990. She later earned an accounting degree from Aurora University and worked at a variety of businesses before becoming a bookkeeper at Innovative Growers Equipment in Sycamore. Always one to shy away from the spotlight, Sandra nonetheless was a vocal Cubs fan who was thrilled to see them win the 2016 World Series. She also passionately loved animals and her lifelong dream was to own a sanctuary for abused and neglected animals. Sandra’s shining light was her daughter with whom she took great pride and considered her best friend. She also was considered the cool aunt by her nieces and nephews, one who was quick with a joke or to introduce scary movies at a perhaps too young age. She overcame a number of obstacles in her life and pushed through them and always was quick to lend a helping hand where needed. Sandra is survived by her beloved daughter Kayla Magnuson of Sycamore; her mother, Ann Grathoff of St. Charles; brothers Ralph (Norma) of South Elgin, Illinois and Pete of Shawnee, Kansas; niece Citlali Grathoff of Bloomington, Illinois; and nephew Erick Grathoff of South Elgin. |
