Sharon Lee DiNicola

  Sharon L. DiNicola, 73, of Sugar Grove passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022, at her home.  She was born June 24, 1949, in Syracuse, NY the daughter of Jack and Florence (Stevens) Inman.  She was united in marriage to Robert Hurst.

Sharon was a social butterfly with a loving and adored personality who enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, wife, friend, and coworker.  Sharon was employed for many years by the Batavia School District.  She started out as a secretary for Alice Gustafson School and evolved her career to become an IT consultant.  She enjoyed AGS and especially was fond of working with kids.  She kept busy with everything in life, she loved being outdoors and took gardening and caring for her yard to another level of excellence.  She was a super mother and a wonderful grandma.  She retired to spend more quality family time and to be more involved with her grandchildren.    

She is survived by her husband Robert Hurst; three sons David DiNicola, Brian (Jennifer) DiNicola, and Michael DiNicola; her stepchildren, Stephanie (Keith) Termont, and Andrew Hurst; six grandchildren, Anthony and Natalie DiNicola, and Brandon, Colin, Mason, and Ashlyn Termont; her siblings, Jack (Janet) Inman, Jill Weldham, and Joel Inman, and her sister-in-law, Roseanne (Michael) Oeinck. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Michael DiNicola and her grandson Domenic DiNicola. 

A memorial service will be celebrated at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
