Sherrill Eugene Loid

Sherrill E. Loid, 88, of Batavia passed away peacefully Monday, July 4 at Autumn Leaves in St. Charles, IL. Sherrill was born January 14, 1934, in Louisville, Kentucky the son of James Loid and Alma Emma Stoner. In 1951 he moved to Cicero, IL. Sherrill was united in marriage to Beverly Sodergren August 14, 1954, in Berwyn, IL. In 1992 Sherrill and Beverly moved to Western Springs, IL. Ten years later in 2002 they settled down in Batavia, IL. Since December of 2019, Sherrill has been a resident at Autumn Leaves Memory Care Facility in St. Charles, IL.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Loid of Batavia two children, Todd and wife Denise Loid and Denise and husband Doug McCoy; five grandchildren, Aryn McCoy, Scott Loid, Meghan Loid, Tyler McCoy, and Madison McCoy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his three brothers, James Loid, Donald Nicholas Loid , and Delbert Edward Loid. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. 60510. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 11 AM. Interment will be held at River Hills Memorial Park after the service.
