Stephen Michael Wilson

Stephen Michael Wilson, Jr., 51, of St. Charles, IL., formerly of West Chicago, IL., passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Delnor Community Hospital.  Stephen was born June 21,1970, in Winfield, IL the son of Stephen Michael Sr. and Ardith Velma (nee. Wiesbrock) Wilson.  He was united in marriage to Geri Wilson September 28, 1991, in Wheaton, IL.  They celebrated 30 years of marriage the day before his death.

Steve was a hard worker from age 10. Starting out delivering newspapers, mowing lawns and stuffing inserts. He held several jobs Mc Donald’s & KMart in West Chicago, Home Base in Carol Stream, Graham Crackers Comics in St Charles before he found a career, he loved with the City of West Chicago Water Department where he worked for 23 years until he was released upon illness.

Diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma in 2018 he underwent radiation, several rounds of chemo, a failed liver transplant and that battle was won when listed NED November 2020.

Steve was a big kid at heart collecting. Comic books, Hot Wheels and Legos to list a few. He loved traveling by car and seeing the USA.  An avid Cubs Fan. He was so happy to be a first time Grandpa. He was true Patriot and proud to be an American.

He is survived by his Soul mate Geri; two children Stephen Wilson, III and Ashley (Bradley Gager) Wilson; a granddaughter, Sage Finley Gager; his Siberian Husky, Zelda Mae, his father Stephen Michael Wilson, Sr.; a brother Michael (Niki) Wilson; Honorary Brother Matt (Tina) Tintera and his sisters-in-law, Kimberly Pashkus, Teri (Rick) Burton, Lori Pashkus Ross, and Lisa (Glenn) Garafolo. Fond Uncle to many Nieces, Nephews, he had a special relationship with Jessica (Jim) Elliot, Josh & Jennifer Wilson, Tony & Gregory Burton, Lindsey (Roy Robey) Tunk Ryan Pashkus, Megan, Lexi & Julia Wiesbrock, Great Nieces and Nephews, twins Annabelle & James Elliot, R.J, Logan & Owen Robey. Cousins Kelle (Dylan) Hattula, Dakota & Piper Hattula.

He is preceded in death by his mother Ardith Wilson, and Aunt Susan Wilson

Visitation will be held 4:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL.  A service of remembrance will follow the visitation at 7:30 P.M.  Please share a favorite memory at the service.
