Sung Nae Swift

Sung Nae Swift, age 81 of Elgin, IL passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Journey Care in Barrington, IL. She is survived by her husband Thomas Swift, a daughter Susan (Peter) Katz, her stepson Stephen (Kelly) Swift, and two grandsons Ryan and Mason Katz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and two stepsons Jeffrey and Robert Swift.

Sung was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking traditional Korean dishes, knitting and sewing projects, and listening to classical music. During her 54 years of marriage with Tom, they lived in several locations overseas and in the United States. In 2010 Sung and Tom moved to Elgin, IL to be closer to her daughter's family. She loved attending special occasions with the family, especially her two grandsons’ music and sporting events.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Moss-Norris Funeral Home, 100 South Third Street St. Charles, IL. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, St. Charles, IL.
