Susan Ann Weis

Susan Ann Weis, 80, of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, formerly of Wheaton, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Michaelsen Health Center.  She was born March 22, 1940 in New York, NY the daughter of Frank and Marion (nee Beaupre) McKenna.  She was united in marriage to James E. Weis September 30, 1961 in Dearborn, MI. 

Susan loved to be a mother, grandmother “Nana” and friend to everyone.  She will be remembered for her uplifting conversations and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved. 

She is survived by her husband James; four children, David (Ann) Weis, Peter (Mary) Weis, Stephan (Heather) Weis, and Christine (Stephen) Marra; ten grandchildren, Christopher, Patrick, Andrew, Laine, Colin, Evan, Colleen, and Carson Weis, and Nicholas and Emily Marra; two brothers Frank (Kathy) McKenna and Charlie (Kathy) McKenna; a brother-in-law, Dan (Mae) Weis, and her nieces and nephews Aimee Olson, Charlie McKenna and Mike and Maria Weis.    

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic the visitation will be held private to just the immediate family. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church 2300 Main Street Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Interment will be held in private in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
